Harrow RA’s October Young Referees’ Development Meeting

Prior to the main meeting October at 7 p.m. Garrett Eeles, our new Young Referees’ Officer and winner of the Harrow RA Young Referee of the Year 2019 led our first Young Referees’ Development Meeting of the new season at which he started with an introduction to Harrow RA and the local leagues and getting to know each other. Then he moved on to the challenges of refereeing and how we can overcome them. Referees from 14 to 25 years of age were invited to attend this early meeting before going to the main meeting. There was be a break during the main meeting at about 8.45 p.m. or 9 p.m. if any young referees needed to leave early. Parents were also made welcome to attend our meetings. Disappointingly only one young referee joined Garrett for this meeting, despite it being publicised by e-mail to all young members.
